路加福音 1:68-75 的讲道 Bilingual sermon on Luke 1:68-75 (MP3 Recording) 根据西方教会的传统,从圣诞日之前的四个主日开始,一直到12月24日太阳下山后结束的这一段时间,是被称为降临节(Advent) 。降临节的节期意义,一方面是要让信徒在这期间去回顾耶稣基督的诞生;另一方面,是要他们去期待耶稣基督的再来。今年的降临节是从今天这个主日开始,所以教会的讲台信息会以路加福音的第一和第二章为主要经文,就是路加所记载的耶稣诞生的预告和出生的故事,来带领大家在这降临节期间去重温耶稣基督的降生,使到我们真能明白圣诞的意义,而不会只是忙於圣诞的表面庆祝方式。我们迎接圣诞的心情必须是充满惊喜和感动的,就像今早的经文里撒加利亚赞美上帝的颂歌一样,是充满期待和感激之情的,因为圣诞就是上帝的到访:上帝来到我们人间!这也是我今早信息的题目。 特丽莎修女(Mother Teresa) 曾经说过,第一个欢迎耶稣基督的人,就是施洗约翰。他一遇到基督,便在母亲腹里欢喜的跳动,而那个时候他和耶稣还各自在母胎里。这也难怪,因为施洗约翰将会是耶稣基督的开路先锋,是上帝特意的安排。施洗约翰的诞生,也是上帝大能的介入,因为他的母亲伊利沙伯和父亲撒加利亚都已年纪老迈,但上帝却让他们能生下施洗约翰,而且还与耶稣有亲戚的关系;更加重要的是,他要为耶稣预备道路。所以,今早的经文是与约翰的诞生有关的,就是在他出生后的第八日,要行割礼和取名的时候,他的父亲撒加利亚之前暂时成为哑巴的口,忽然开口说起话来。这位多个月不能说话的父亲,他突然开口最先说的话,竞是颂赞上帝的感恩歌,就是今早我们所读的经文。路加告诉我们,他是受圣灵感动而唱出的感恩歌,因为在拉丁文的圣经(Latin Vulgate Bible)里,这诗歌的第一个字是Benedictus,就是“感恩” 的意思。在华文圣经里,它被翻译为称颂,所以开头的整句是:主以色列的上帝是应当称颂的! 为何上帝配受他子民的称颂或要向他感恩?因为他眷顾他的百姓。“眷顾” 和 “到访” 可以是同义词,说明上帝的看顾不只是在天上观看而已,而是包括了他的行动。上帝的到访在旧约里可以带来审判(耶44:13) ,但也可以是他恩典的作为,就是上帝亲自来到人间来眷顾他的子民!在今早经文里,撒加利亚称颂上帝,是因为他看到上帝恩典的到访;这到访不是在未来,而是已经来到了人间。不但如此,在他感恩歌结束的尾句(v78),他再次引用上帝到访的观念,来说明上帝会叫清晨的日光从高天临到我们,要照亮坐在黑暗中的人。“清晨的日光” 指的是弥赛亚的来临,就是藉着耶稣基督的诞生,上帝要来到人间,让人可以和他相遇。也就是说,撒加利亚的感恩称颂歌,它的开始和结束就是要以旧约“到访” 的这个丰富词汇,来描绘上帝既将通过他的独生子耶稣基督的诞生,亲自来到世上并要介入人间事物;而施洗约翰的诞生和事奉,正是要指向上帝的来临和作为。所以,弟兄姐妹,现在就让我们在撒加利亚的称颂感恩诗歌里,来看上帝为何要到访和他是一位怎么样的上帝?而人的回应又当是什么? (一) 上帝的到访带来救恩,彰显了他是位信实守约的神。 撒加利亚的颂歌其实就是在描述上帝过去的行动,就是在以色列民族的历史里上帝带给他们先祖的拯救;而上帝的拯救正是来自於他的眷顾、他的到访。其实,“上帝的到访” 在旧约的圣经里是经常被提到的。例如:创50:24约瑟在去世之前安慰他的弟兄们说上帝必定会眷顾他们,也就是英文圣经所翻译的到访(visit) ;出4:31记载…

诗篇136 篇的讲道 Bilingual sermon on Psalm 136 (MP3 recording) 刚才我要求你们一齐来回应今早经文每一节的后半段,而且都是重复同样的字句:因他的慈爱永远长存!很明显的这是一篇对唱式或启应式的感恩赞美诗篇,诗人作诗的目的,就是要会众在敬拜或欢庆的场合里,来一齐参予称颂神恩典的作为。按照犹太人传统的礼仪,每一节的前半段是由带领敬拜的人如祭司来独唱,而后半段则是由诗班或会众重复的来和唱‘因他的慈爱永远长存’ 。在我前一次的讲道里,我有提到诗篇113到118篇被犹太人统称为‘埃及的哈利诗’ ,而哈利(Hallel)就是赞美的意思。在每年三大的节期,就是逾越节、五旬节和住棚节里,他们都要恭唱这些称为‘哈利诗’ 的赞美诗篇,来称颂神带领他们的先祖出埃及的救赎。今早的诗篇136篇虽然没有被编列在这些哈利诗集里,但犹太人都称这首诗篇为‘大哈利诗’ (伟大的赞美诗) ,有学者更坚称这首诗是逾越节必唱的颂歌,甚至有人还称它为是以色列‘国庆的哈利诗’ ,可见它在整本诗篇中所占的重要位置。对我们来说,这不断重复的后半段好像很是沉闷,但它的重复也同样可以提醒我们,我们的生命存在和所拥有的,都是来自於神那坚定不移的慈爱和他大能的作为。所以,我把今早信息的题目定为:一位爱无穷恩无尽的神!简单的来说,这诗篇的作者所要表达的信息,就是神的慈爱、神的恩典随处都在:从创造开始到救赎的工作,再从救赎到神的子民可以承受神所赐的产业,这整个历史昼面的背后就是神的爱、神的恩典,而且它是永远长存的。故此,诗人要 呼召神的子民都要来献上他们感恩的敬拜,因为恩典总是要求感恩来作为回应。正如神学家巴特(Barth)所说的:恩典和感恩,正如天与地彼此相属。恩典引发感恩,好像声音引发回声;感恩伴随恩典,有如雷声伴随闪电。Grace and gratitude belong together like heaven and earth.
